Olafsfjordur is a small town located Trollaskagi Peninsula in north Iceland. It is about 61km from Akureyri and about 400km from Reykjavik region. In this 850 population village, fishing and fishing related industries are the main income resources. Although more tourists visit the town for fishing and skiing or other activities, it is still very little tourist pollution.

It takes 5-6 hours driving from Reykjavik to Olafsfjordur. You can take the bus No. 57 to Akureyri and take the bus no. 78 to Akureyir.
Bus no. 78 is running 3 times in week days and 1 time on Sundays. Remember there is no bus running on Saturday. For details schedule, please check Stræto (bus company).
Of course, you also can flight 45 mins to Akureyri and change the bus to Olafsfjordur.
